Gov. Alia Awards Scholarships to 44 First-Class Graduates of BSU, Announces Development Plans

The governor announced this at BSU’s combined 22nd, 23rd, and 24th convocation ceremonies on Saturday in Makurdi. He encouraged all graduates to “conquer the world and make their mark.”

As part of his administration’s commitment to education, Governor Alia also revealed plans to rename the university after its founder, the late Rev. Fr. Moses Adasu, through an executive bill submitted to the State House of Assembly. Additionally, he pledged to donate 500 computers to the university’s computer hall and announced the establishment of new campuses in Adikpo, Kwande Local Government Area, and the Benue South Senatorial District.
